WHATS YOUR REASON FOR MARRIAGE???????

it was a very beautiful evening and i was chilling with a young fresh handsome dude i meet few days ago.he had this dreamy eyes and mehnn i was tripping like kilode!!!!!!!! , and suddenly he looks at me and smiles and askes me , Rita whats your reason for wanting to get married?, do you have any preferences or special attributes you would like in my future husband

in my mind i was like what kinda question is this biko?. but  he was soo cute , i just had to answer him anyways, i told him i would love to get married so as to have a beautiful friendship and companionship with my future husband that would last for enternity.secondly, marriage would allow me to love and be committed to my soulmate for  a really long time and more importantly,what would make me happy in my marriage would  be to share my life and joy with my future husband,who would be more than a companion to me, but my best friend
  I futher told him i would like my future husband to be a wonderful father to our kids, a man who is stong, hardworking, and who brings out the best in me and vice versa


 Then he laughed sooooo hard..........was kinda embaraased and confused sef........like did i just say something wrong???.......after laughing for a while, he then composed himself and told me i watch too much telemundo. at this point i began loosing interest in this dude...................

       when i asked him the same question, he said he was only going into marriage because he wanted children, and doesnt want any emotional attachment to his wife................an am like what the heck???? like who does that???.this is such a horrible reason to marry someone
      lots of people get married for different reasons, but like this dude in question........what if his wife cannot give birth to the children he desires????, or what if hes even impotent and cant bear a child???/ what then becomes the lot of the wife????.

i think different people have different reasons why they would want to get married...............would love to hear your reasons too, expecting your comments
