Teacher 25 thousand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started liking and having a passion for teaching during My National youth service corps.....it was fun for me to teach and impact knowledge to students, and be somehow part of their lives.......so immediately after NYSC, decided to try out some teaching jobs!!!!!
Was called for an interview in one school in the area, I quickly wore my suit and tie.....was going to show them how intelligent I was..........
I walked briskly into the office, was so confident and full of myself, and Haba the school was really big, so I thought I had hit the jackpot......definitely the salary would be good.......i would use 2 birds to kill one stone, teach and earn big bucks......
Eeerhmmm Mr Nonso, the principal will see you now ......the secretary called.....i walked in boldly into the office,and greeted the principal respectfully
....The Principal looked at my CV, he looked like a man in his forties
ha aa My young Man, You don't have any experience...except NYsC, we need a qualified teacher
I quickly told the man how I am a really good teacher, and all my great exploits during Nysc
Well I will give you a try but you will teach biology from ss1 to 3, Agric science jss1 to ss3 and Mathematics ss1 to 3. An average of 27 periods in a week and you must always be in school on time else your salary would be deducted.
The principal also continued, you will also be a class teacher, and write lesson notes for each of the classes you teach
Yepa!!!!! Nonso said aloud, sir this workload is too much sir , well the principal replied......you would be paid handsomely for it you know
How much is the salary I replied....25 thousand naira said the principal....i looked at myself, shook my head and ran out of the office......
Imagine all the workload and stress for a measly 25k...........
Teachers are responsible for the future of our children, they instruct, teach and direct they ought to be treated with respect, and be well paid
......most private schools in lagos take advantage of the fact that many people are unemployed and exploit them, enslave them in the name of giving them a job.......and than Dump them when they are done.....while the proprietor or proprietress keeps the Major profit for themselves
Teachers give students their passion, their lives, their sweat and blood...I think they should also be compensated well

In May 1962 with the Western House of Assembly set to remove Akintola after the party had earlier passed a vote of no confidence in the premier in a party meeting, crisis erupted on the floor of the house.

IS Going to a University Overrated In Nigeria????

Hey guys........i know I have been really slow on blogging recently........mabinu....been kinda busy

Anyways I saw this story on nairaland and decided to share it
Sometimes I want to regret going to school because arguably I still fail to see the reasons or benefits of going to school. Yesterday a frnd of my whose parents took him to learn electrical on cars after primary school, went to withdraw 1.5m to purchase a jeep. His story building is near completion, married and blessed with 2wonderful kids. We all knw what it takes to have a story building in Lagos. Dis my frnd barely reads a simple sentence. Don't get me wrong I'm not envious of him rather I'm happy but I today I'd to take a seat and remembered how he convinced me to join him in learning dis same handiwork that has made him d prospective landlord and car owner that he's today while I chose to go to school to acquire a certificate only to have graduated and served fathers land without a job to even make boast of. I also have some frnds who dropped after secondary school, today they r all married and living good...its kinda annoying and I don't knw if to say regrettable for going to school because its has not even pay of. The annoying aspect self is most jobs today can't even foot once expenses n bills due to the hash economy and almost every job u get today r contract base so one begins to think what is the purpose of spending several years reading without any tangible benefit awaiting stresslessly


Well..........is going to school overrated in this country?

Like drugs, the rich, powerful and the upper class Nigerians are getting hooked to it. Affluent Nigerian men and women who bleach their skin are growing in their numbers. You see them in their posh cars, in super-markets or shopping malls; in well-appointed offices, in the aircrafts and even in the boardrooms, among many other places.

In recent years, this class of super-rich Nigerians have found it fashionable to bleach their dark skin pigmented skin to “ look good “ like models, new born babies or like creatures from another planet. Some of them, on enquires, would readily tell you that they are not bleaching but rather “ toning up “. While some look good in their new skin, others simply appear funny and ridiculous in their newly acquired complexion. They bleach their bodies “ white or red “ with expensive and mostly imported high percentage hydroquinone and mercury filled body creams, all in a bid to look attractive and trendy.

Though the poor and the not so rich in Nigeria also bleach, but the proportion of those who engage in this practice is relatively higher among the wealthy class. In the league of privileged Nigerians who bleach or tone their bodies as the case may be, are politicians, business men and women, senior military officers and those in the other armed and para-military services; top government functionaries and civil servants, corporate chief executives, high street industrialists, musicians, successful private entrepreneurs, those in the formal professions as well as some clergy men and women, etc.

To these groups of people, body bleaching has become a fad, a show of wealth and acquired status. It is also a way of keeping up with the trend of the new age and to make themselves appealing and acceptable to the opposite sex and to the younger generation. In addition to body bleaching creams, is the use of specialized cosmetics and other forms of make-up by the rich and world leaders who have skin deficiencies or are surviving serious manifest health challenges.

Morenikes father, and mother embraced Bola together, the three of them cried, they were going to help her through this somehow.....
Morenike wondered what had been keeping her mum and dad outside for so long, and Bola too....why wasn't she here?
She started to worry, just then her parents walked into the room, bola followed closely behind them...
They all had sad expressions on their face.....she suspected something was up
Mummy??.....why is your face sad.....kilonshe???
Her mother let out a smile, and said don't worry rest now my daughter you will be fine..........everything is ok my dear
Back at the office, kola dosumu was in his office, after years of being with different women.......there was something different about miss morenike,he really needed her, he was scared....he had never felt this way about a woman before, especially one that made him loose millions of naira,
The phone rang breaking him away from his thoughts, the cool voice of the secretary filled the other end of the line
Good morning sir, a representative of Intel Nigeria limited would like to see you sir,......you can send her in replied Mr kola
As she walked into the room, Mr kola dosumu was amazed with the figure, the representative had......Damn!!!!! He thought to himself.......she had the widest hips he had ever seen.....he was so intrigued with her figure, he did not realise when she said hello and asked if she could sit down
Ye.......ye....yes....kola dosumu stammered, he felt like a total fool at this moment....gosh
My name is miss Sandra okowa,our company Intel Nigeria limited is a human resource company, and we have a proposal for you sir......
As she talked,he was so lost, God really took time to create some people oooo, choiii....Well, Miss Sandra okowa....can we discuss this further over lunch?
Sandra agreed and they both exchanged numbers.....as he walked her to the door, He was excited....this was what he needed to forget morenike.......sandra was his cure.........
The doctor on duty walked into the room.....Morenike was alone, her parents and Bola left few moments ago, and they were acting very weird............
Hi Miss morenike, how are you the doctor asked with a smile......I am feeling better thank you sir
Well the doctor continued, you can be discharged tomorrow, but you have to come back on Monday for your chemotherapy
Morenike was confused....Chemotherapy???.......Doctor please don't be offended ooo, but I want to ask a question,....you can go ahead with the doctor said
I thought chemotherapy was meant for cancer patients.......so you don't know? replied the doctor......sorry you had to know like this........but you have cervical cancer

Morenike was Shocked!!!!!!!.....so shocked......she just couldn't speak

Experience Of the Day!!!!!!!!!

So my people I was going to buy pepper, I wanted to prepare jollof rice oooo.....hummmm....as I got to mama lekans shop(not real name sha).....two other ladies were in her shop, among them was a really fat woman.......the woman was plenty!!!!....occupying space like matter......
Anyways I greeted them, and was buying my pepper till we heard BRAAH!!!!!!.......PHHHHHRT!!!!!
Everybody took cover....including me, holding our nose....the mess aka fart was smelling sooo badly.....hain!!!!
The fat woman just farted, and she was laughing.......e joo....e ma binu oooo she said, we ate beans in our house today, that's what is making me mess like this
Ma dear....i just took my tomatoes n ran away oooo
Haba!!!!!!

The Dream

Beads of sweat ran down my face......actually the sweat coming out of my body, could fill  2 buckets of water....the old man holding the knife was saying was some incantations........ekuku le ku....we have brought the sacrifice, awon  iya oso come and eat this sacrifice....there was also 3 men tying white wrapper, and their bodies painted white.....in small dots, and they also tied their head with white wrapper
Fear gripped me, so this was how my last moments on earth would be?....i remembered mama,choima,nkechi.....my wife and touchi my new born son....so I won't be seeing them again
Tears filled my eyes and I cried.Just then the man, saying the incantation said to the 3 men, oya hold his two hands and legs....so I can cut off his head.......haaa....i let out a terrifying scream, but it did not seem to affect my captors at all
If you scream again na your tongue we go commot!!!! The old man said to me with seriousness on his face
I kept quiet, it was better to die swiftly than a slow and agonising death
Then they put me on the ground......I closed my eyes, I could feel the knife already at my neck, I let out a really huge scream................the knife was going in deeper,deeper and I could feel life leaving me.......
Then I woke up......it was only a dream...I quickly looked beside me, and saw my lovely wife sleeping peacefully.....
Thank God I said, I quickly went on my kneels and prayed........wc kain dream be this????

Against all odds Episode 2

Jerry Thomas, knew he had seen this face somewhere, then he remembered, Tega aka Trouble overdose, how could he forget???.....Tega was his room mate in 100level at the university of benin....they stayed at ekosodin, they were harassed so much by cultists that tega had to join a cult to protect himself...
He moved closer to him, Tega did not seem to recognise him.....Tegi lala...ha fa na it's me.....jerry soo fresh,soo fly......Tega jumped up and was filled with excitement, jerry jerry... choiii......longest longest time ooo.....O boy see as you fresh...shioooor, see as your skin be like mirror e just dey shine.....he said in thick warri ascent .....your story don change ooo,levels don change ooo...iye!!!!!!!
Jerry laughed, Tega had always been a comedian sha, I am fine tega.....Tega ran to his car and touched it.....wow.....jerry had always been the reserved and quiet guy, the kind u refer to as the dull kinda guy, humm back then in the day...he used to think jerry was too dull to make money, Now it turns out na him dey carry last!!!! Choi!!!!
Jerry ordered few more drinks for himself and Tega with 5 more plates of chicken pepper soup and assorted meat
How's life jerry asked Tega, and your mumsi and sister.....My brother you know see me, see my shirt na.....the thing don tear soo te I don tire to sow am sef....life hard oooo, and mumsi dey take am sing national anthem for me say I lazy, and all mates don don make am yet I still dey house dey chop her food.....My brother.....e remain small eehn......I for go commit suicide oooooo
Jerry shook his head my dear Tega, suicide is never an option oooo, there's always a way even when you think everything is impossible, cheer up I am sure everything would be well
They had few more general discussions and Jerry handed him his business card....you can call anytime you want...jerry also gave 10 thousand naira for teefare......
Mama Nkechi was smiling sheepishly.....she had made a lot of money today..........and was she excited as jerry stood up to go....she quickly jumped off her seat and escorted him to his car......giving him a flirtarous smile.......she said....fine oga abeg remember to come another time oooo, Jerry smiled waved her goodbye and left
Tega sat on his table, haa so jerry could make it big in life, and his still here, broke and poor
He just had to do something.......he had to make this hustle harder and real

DIaries OF Morenikeji Episode 3

At the news from the doctor, morenikes father was in total shock, he couldn't utter a single word,he wondered how his precious little girl would be able to cope with the pain.....Morenike his hope,his dream, his only little baby girl.....he wept in his heart
Morenikes mother was crying uncontrollably.....it must be those village people she thought, they are at work again.....hum,but they would not succeed she said to herself....haa morenike must overcome this cancer,what would happen to the grandchildren she always dreamed about???..... all the money they had spent on morenike??? .....and who would take care of them when they grow old???....she had always thought of seeing morenike get married, and have a family......but now.......all those hopes and dreams.....lost
she wept and wept, Papa morenike put his arms round her, and they wept together.......
Finally morenikes father asked the. Doctor, what could be done.....Mr badejo spoke with kindness, Love and concern, his heart went out to their family....for now there is really nothing much we can do, we can do chemotherapy to help slow down the cancer cells, but at this stage she's in she just needs lots of care and love. It's best morenike is also informed about her condition too so she could learn to live and cope with it....
  Mr Kola dosumu was very dissapointed, Morenike made the company loose a lot of Money, and He was So angry....of all days for her to faint....it was on the day of the presentation??? He was definitely going to fire her for sure!!!!!
He came to the hospital to scold her, but when he walked into the room, and saw her small fragile frame, and how she slept like a baby...his heart melted a thousand times
She looked so beautiful, and she was connected to a lot of machines,all the anger her felt left at once.....and the only thing he felt for her was admiration, Love and care....he wanted to just put his arms around her, kiss her...and hold her tight
Common man!!!!.....snap out of this rubbish,kola said to himself, he was the boss....and was always in control, he had to control this emotion.....he had to put morenike in her place
Just then she stirred, and woke up.....she put up a tense smile on her face when she saw him......
Her voice was faint, but she tried as much as possible to apologise to him, Mr kola put up a stern look on his face.......all he said was rest well My dear.....we would see you at the office when you are fit to resume and he walked out of the room briskly .........
Outside, Morenikes parents broke the sad news to Bola, Bola was so heart broken, she wept soo much.....her dear friend was going to die.....and there was nothing she could do about it......

STORY OF A GEEK I MET IN THE BULES

As I passed by, a dark handsome dude..... He couldn't seem to resist the smell of my perfume. He let out a really big grin and said to me, Wow u smell nice.....at that point My head was swelling at the compliment.....and I Let out a big smile saying Thank you.....and jejejly passed by
The dude was persistent, and came and introduced himsef........His Voice was really deep,well toned the kinda guy you would consider to be a TDH
Henry was his name.....we both came to write an aptitude test and we were both tense, not knowing how the results would be.....luckily we both passed the test....and immediately we started talking.....
He seemed like a guy that talked too much, and was really spiritual,....but Na the "spirikoko" I fear pass oooo
He went on and on about how this day I meet him was important and how there is a reason for everything....
In a way he married his spirituality with intellectuality in a really weird, akward way.......He was really too forward sha, weird and He thought I loved him from afar???
Scoffs!!!! .....hummm, as if that's how Men are scarce.....anyways my general opinion of him sha.......is that he is kool...............

Man Caught Hiding In Car Engine to Enter spain

A desperate migrant today was caught today trying to enter into Spain hiding behind the engine of a vechile
He was discovered by really shocked spanish officials who taught that the driver of the car was too nervous and stopped the car for a routine check
  
According to the Telegraph,the car had travelled from Morocco and border officials found the migrant lying in a foetal position behind the car’s engine and radiator. His health was reportedly in a bad way because of the petrol fumes and searing heat.


 As reported by the Telegraph, another migrant was discovered hidden behind one of the car’s seats. Neither man has been identified.Both were taken too hospital and treated for dehydration and cramp. Doctors warned they could both have died had they been trapped for much longer

Nigeria is one of the most blessed nation in the African continent, she is not just blessed but is also a very rich nation......with lots of Mineral resources one would wonder why 33.1 percent of the nation's populace still live in poverty. At this percent poverty is still significant in our Economy......
What could the possible causes of this poverty be?.....research has shown that income inequality,massive unemployment and looting of public funds by government officials
The children called the future leaders of tomorrow no longer have a future to look forward to, because the leaders of today has embezelled their tomorrow away......so sad!!!!!!!

AGAINST ALL ODDS

Tega was really angry....haba so what if he was 30 and still in his father's house?, or if his friends tonye, chisom and tony had all gotten married and had children....was it because he was eating mamas food that's why she could talk to him like that?

Tega was really pained, he put on his worn out slippers and a really old. Shirt that already had holes in it....

He really did not care, he must go to his regular joint to cool his temper...picking up his nokia touch light phone he left the house......I will show them in this house,he thought to himself, I must make this money and mama would be the first person I will show......

Mama Tega was a woman in her late fifties.....she had 2 children Tega and Ejiro.  Ejiro her daughter was the younger sister of Tega and was already married and doing well with her husband.....but Tega had always been her problem and the black sheep of the family, always bringing trouble home

Her heart was was pained...she had strived soo hard to train him up in the university where he studied Industrial chemistry....but like always he took trouble to school and joined a cult group and was rusticated from the university, it's been 6 years since then, and he has refused going back to school, learning any trade or going into business

Tears flowed down her eyes freely, she wondered what she had done to deserve a coconut head son like tega.....she wondered where he had gone to now?.This morning she simply tried to talk to him about his idleness and he become angry and walked out on her.....she wished papa tega was still alive.....maybe things would have been different

Tega walked into mama Nkechis shop, he was her regular customer and he liked her Pepper soup and she always sold her drinks on credit to him sometimes

Mama Nkechi a fair, fat woman with well rounded hips came to meet him....tegoski ha fa na she said in her sharp Ibo ascent.....Tega replied her with a coy smile and asked for his normal.......still thinking in his heart how he would show mama

Just then a big saloon car parked in front of mama Nkechis shop....the owner of the car came down, his skin glowed under the sun, and his suit was soo clean, well cut and his shoes were made of pure leather....

Tega couldn't stop starring the guy was soo clean.....mama Nkechi smiled sheepishly, this must be her lucky day for this big fish to enter into her shop....she quickly went 2 meet the handsome young man and took his order.....

Tega noticed the young man was looking at him from where he sat down, Tega felt uneasy and tried looking away.....the stranger stood up from his seat and walked towards Tega

At the first thought of the anaconda snake,it brings fear,hatred and even revulsion.....the ancaonda snake is the second largest snake in the world next to the reticulated  python.......here are some comoomon myths about this monstrous snake

#Myth 1 The Anaconda is a gigantic snake

Remember the movie??? Gosh it was soo scarcy when I watched it.....the snakes were really big and long...anyways in reality although the snakes are really gigantic, they are not as long as 50 feet and neither does it weigh 200 kilograms......most anacondas weigh like a 150 kilos and almost make it as far as 30 feet in lenght

#Myth 2 Anacondas are Mythical creatures

This serpent is by no means a mythical creature. It is often the giant anaconda that is regarded as a mythical creature. Anacondas are from a family of snakes that grow about 30 feet in length. But over the last century there have been several reports by locals, researchers and explorers of sighting a snake whose length exceeds 60 feet

There have been several unconfirmed reports by locals in the Amazon region of seeing a big snake as long as 50 feet. These claims were backed up by Major Percy Fawcett's account of him killing a 62-foot long snake in 1907 somewhere in Brazil. According to him, he didn't think it was necessary to bring the snake back to civilization.

In 1995, a researcher claimed to have seen a snake whose eyes were spaced 12-inch apart. She never saw the length of the snake but concluded that it must be a pretty huge snake. Other stories have put the length of the reptile from amazon at 150 feet. However, no report of sighting the giant anaconda has ever been confirmed. It is for this reason the giant anaconda is considered a mythical creature.

#Myth 3 Anacondas are MAN Eaters!!!!

These snakes are carnivorous in nature. They feed on wide a range of aquatic and terrestrial creatures with turtles, dogs, frogs, fish, sheep and deer being their favorite prey. They also have the ability to swallow bigger animals like jaguars and even man.

The perception that Anacondas are habituated man-eaters is wrong. They have been observed to attack humans only when attacked, startled or harmed. They prefer to retreat in face of confrontation and attack only as a last option of self-defense.

DIARIES OF MORENIKEJI Episode 2

Morenikeji woke up, she had a headache and she noticed she was in a hospital....and then she remembered how she fainted during the presentation, her heart skipped she was sure her boss would fire her....that deal was worth millions of naira

She looked beside her and her dear friend Bola was by her side......she was sleeping by her bedside and she looked so angelic, morenike smiled a little, Bola has always been her friend in good times and bad times......and she really missed all her amebo gists...she really wished she would wake up.....so that they could chat a little
Just then Bola stirred and woke up, and was really glad when she saw morenike had woken up. Morenike told the doctor that she was fine, although she complained that she was feeling a terrible headache
Don't worry dear, the doctor replied we would do our best to make you feel better and he walked out of the room,  after doing some checkup on morenike
Morenikeji became tense, and asked Bola how Mr kola Dosumu reacted because she did not close the bussiness deal....Bola smiled, ore mi.....don't worry about work for now, we would resolve the issue as soon as you are well and ok......Morenike asked bola if the doctor had said anything about her diagnosis, bola shrugged her shoulders and replied No

Morenikejis parents came into the room, they were both retired civil servants, and their face was full of excitement when they saw their daughter had woken up, her mother knelt down immediately and started singing praises to God, Morenike smiled at her mother, her mother had always been too religious she thought to herself, but she was grateful she had her family with her in this tryin times
nurse walked into the room and beckoned morenikes parents to go to the doctors office
As they walked into the office Mr badejo asked them to sit down, clearing his throat, he said in a very compassionate voice.......well We have conducted lots of tests on Morenike and from the results.....it is indicated that morenike has cervical cancer and it's in stage 111...... haaa cerva kini!!!!!!! Exclaimed morenikes mum.....the enemies are at work ooooo she said crying profusly......
